Zotero instead competes with services like Diigo, because both allow you to make a copy of the content and add notes and annotations.
-
Zotero definitely wins as a serious research tool
-
Diigo trumps Zotero in its social aspects,
-
the pages you save and notes you make are stored on your computer and then synced online, instead of being held exclusively online as with Diigo, which means that even if Zotero disappears down the road, you’ll still have your content.
-
use Zotero offline,

Getting It Straight by Chris Offutt
-
Straight is autobiographical in very private ways. I essentially took emotional dynamics from my family and draped them like quilts over other people. Many of the stories have classical and biblical sources. “The Leaving One” is loosely based on the story of Elisha and Elijah from the Old Testament. “House Raising” is rooted in the story of Abraham and Isaac with the notion of land itself being the vengeful god of the Old Testament. “Old of the Moon” is an attempt to depict the conflicting philosophy between the Old Testament and the New Testament.
